4 meduim to large old potoatos (chopped) or 10 new potatos cut in half. |
4 minature marrows (sliced) |
250 grams button mushrooms left whole |
half a cup of red lentils |
half a cup of pearl barley |
good pinch of salt and pepper |
2 tablespoons of dried herbs |
1 vegetable stock cube |
1 beef stock cube |
gravy thickening granuals |
enough water to just cover the stew ingredients for cooking |

6oz of self raising flour |
3oz of vegetarian suet or beef suet |
good pinch of salt and pepper. you can add herbs if you wish but use sparingly. |
