Beef and Cabbage

Seems like Army food to me, but BOY was it GOOD!
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons canola oil
1 onion (chopped)
1 lb ground beef
salt & fresh ground pepper (to taste)
1/2 medium cabbage (shredded)
3 carrots (peeled, grated)
2 bay leaves (ground)
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a wok.
2. Add onion. Saute 5 minutes.
3. Add beef. Brown. Season.
4. Add the cabbage, carrots and bay leaves. Saute until crisp tender.
