This is a recipe from our Italian Aunt Angelina. I changed her recipe from using bread soaked in milk, to bread crumbs. We enjoyed this recipe every Sunday with her Italian Gravy.
Ingredients:
1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder or 2 cloves crushed garlic
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 eggs
1 cup parmesan & pecorino romano cheese
1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs soaked in water
3 tablespoons parsley
1/2 cup water
2 tablespoons ketchup or 2 tablespoons tomato paste
Directions:
1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl. Pre heat oven to 350 . Shape meat mixture into golf ball size meatballs. Brown in preheated oven for 20 minutes. Add to Italian Gravy.
