Be Creative Try This Luscious Lemon Poke Cake |

Just be creative and do the flavor you like .You can do chocolate poke cake with any jello you like .It's so easy and great for all occasions. Ingredients:
2 baked round white cake layers (9 inch), cooled |
2 cups boiling water |
1 pkg. (6 oz.) or 2 pkg. (3 oz. each) jell-o lemon flavor gelatin |
1 cup cold milk |
1 pkg. (3.4 oz.) jell-o lemon flavor instant pudding |
3 cups thawed cool whip whipped topping |
Directions:
1. PLACE cake layers, top-sides up, in 2 clean 9-inch round cake pans. 2. Pierce cakes with large fork at 1/2-inch intervals. Be carefull not to go too deep in the cake so the jello will not go out . 3. ADD boiling water to gelatin mix; stir 2 min. until completely dissolved. 4. Carefully pour over cake layers. 5. Refrigerate 3 hours. 6. BEAT milk and pudding mix with whisk 2 min. 7. Gently stir in COOL WHIP; set aside. 8. Dip 1 cake pan in warm water 10 sec.; unmold onto serving plate. Spread with about 1 cup pudding mixture. 9. Unmold second cake layer; carefully place on first cake layer. 10. Frost top and side of cake with remaining pudding mixture. Refrigerate 1 hour before serving. 11. Refrigerate leftovers. 12. Garnish with lemon slices and fresh mint sprigs just before serving. 13. Lemon-Lime Poke Cake: 14. Substitute 1 pkg. (3 oz.) each JELL-O Lemon Flavor Gelatin and JELL-O Lime Flavor Gelatin for the 1 pkg. (6 oz.) JELL-O Lemon Flavor Gelatin. 15. Stir 1 cup boiling water into each flavor of gelatin in separate bowls. 16. Pour lemon gelatin over 1 cake layer and lime gelatin over second cake layer in clean round cake pans. 17. Continue as directed. 18. PS: i choose these two flavors but it's up to you to create what you really like this is the method. |
