I got this recipe from a Pillsbury cookbook long ago. DH and I love these and find ourselves mixing these up quite often. I like to garnish the glasses with lime wedges. Gin isn't aged, so it was a popular choice for bootleggers during prohibition. The homemade spirit was called bathtub gin , hence the name of the drink.
Ingredients:
2 liters 7-up
12 ounces frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed
1/2 cup lime juice
1/4 cup powdered sugar
2 1/4 cups gin
ice
Directions:
1. In large punch bowl, combine 7-up, lemonade concentrate, lime juice and powdered sugar; stir to blend.
2. Gently stir in gin.
3. Serve over ice in tall glasses.
