Basic Breakfast Granola Cereal

Simple, tasty basic granola recipe. I like this just as it is, but you can also mix up the ingredients. Some ideas: Substitute nuts for dried fruit or berries; use half almonds and half broken pecans; use half pecans and half dried cherries; omit the coconut and replace with the same amount of oats. You get the idea. This makes more than the recipe lets on, so you may have to use two cookie sheets. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
4 cups old fashioned oats
1 cup wheat germ
1 1/2 cups sliced almonds
1/2 cup shredded coconut
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1/2 cup honey
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350F degrees.
2. In a huge bowl, mix all ingredients together until well blended, evenly coating all pieces.
3. Spread onto a cookie sheet.
4. Bake for 15 minutes.
5. Stir well.
6. Bake for 15 minutes more.
7. Cool completely.
8. Store tightly covered in giant container or zip lock bags.
