This makes a nice relaxed Friday night dinner or a perfect snacking food for the big game. I found this recipe in Pop It, Stir It, Fix It, Serve It. I have not tried this recipe, but I'm posting it for safe keeping.
Ingredients:
1 ready made pizza crusts or 1 pizza dough
1 cup prepared pizza sauce
2 cups shredded parmesan cheese or 2 cups mozzarella cheese or 2 cups monterey jack cheese
1/3 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
2 teaspoons brown sugar
2 teaspoons pancake syrup or 2 teaspoons molasses
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8-1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1/4-1/2 teaspoon liquid smoke
6 ounces canned white chicken meat, rinsed, drained and flaked
Directions:
1. Preheat the oven to 450 (or as pizza crust directions indicate). Prepare the pizza crust according to the package directions.
2. Spread the pizza sauce on the dough, leaving a 1/4-inch space along the perimeter. Sprinkle the cheese over the sauce.
3. In a medium sized mixing bowl, combine the ketchup, mustard, brown sugar, syrup, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, cayenne, and liquid smoke. Stir to blend. Add the chicken, then drop the chicken sauce mixture by forkfuls onto the cheese topping.
4. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is browned and the cheese has melted.
