Barbecued Beef – Pulgogi

Cooking the Korean Way
Ingredients:
4 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sesame oil
2 tablespoons sugar
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
4 tablespoons finely chopped green onions
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
1 1/2 lbs beef sirloin tip
Directions:
1. In a large bowl, combine the soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, black pepper, garlic, green onions and sesame seeds.
2. Slice beef thinly into 1/2 x 2 inch pieces. Add meat to soy sauce mixture and mix well.
3. Cover and refrigerate 1-2 hours.
4. Preheat oven to broil.
5. Broil on broiler rack or grill meat for 2-3 minutes per side or until brown.
6. Serve with vegetable side dishes and rice.
