A great rub for chicken on the BBQ that goes well with most sauces. I always use it for wings on the grill. You can substitute cane sugar with brown sugar, although the moisture content of it will cause clumping in your rub. You can avoid the clumping by drying out the brown sugar by spreading it out on a cookie sheet, stirring it around every three hours.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup unbleached cane sugar
1 tablespoon seasoning salt
2 tablespoons onion salt
1 tablespoon garlic salt
2 tablespoons paprika
1 1/2 teaspoons chili powder
1 1/2 teaspoons lemon pepper
1 tablespoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary, finely crushed
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Directions:
1. Mix all the ingredients well in a small bowl with your fingers.
2. Store in an air-tight container.
