Whole chicken on a spit. From Purity Flour Cookbook.
Ingredients:
1 cup ginger ale
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup chopped onion
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/4 teaspoon pepper
3 lbs broiling chicken
Directions:
1. Allow to marinade 2 hours.
2. Drain chicken reserving liquid.
3. Balance on barbeque spit.
4. Barbeque, rotating spit, over medium hot coals for 1 1/2 hrs or until chicken is tender.
5. Brush occasionally with liquid.
