I have to say this is a Great tasting Banana pudding. I usually just make a classic pudding, but after trying this, I think I've found my signature recipe. I got this recipe out of a Family cookbook.
Ingredients:
5 cups milk
3 (3 ounce) packages jell-o instant vanilla flavor pudding and pie filling (4 serving size each)
1 (8 ounce) carton sour cream
1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping (thawed, cool whip)
1 (12 ounce) box vanilla wafers
6 bananas, sliced (ripe)
Directions:
1. In a large mixing bowl beat milk & pudding mix with an electric mixer on low speed about 2 minutes, or until thickened.
2. In a small bowl stir together 1 cup of the pudding and sour cream.
3. Fold Sour Cream mixture and dessert topping into remaining pudding.
4. In 3 quart rectangular baking dish layer half of the vanilla wafers and half bananas.
5. Top with half of the pudding mixture.
6. Repeat layers.
7. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 hours.
8. NOTE:*The longer you refrigerate, the better! I prefer overnight*.
