Banana Oatmeal Muffins - Low Fat

These are tasty little muffins that I whipped up. They are low in fat but don't taste like it and can be jazzed up with little guilt. I love them with walnuts and white chocolate chips. The other great thing about this recipe is that no mixer is required and can be made in one bowl.
Ingredients:
3 bananas, mashed
1/2 cup applesauce
1 -2 tablespoon honey
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 tablespoon butter, melted
1/4 cup wheat germ
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup ground oats
1 cup flour, sifted
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2-1 cup walnuts (optional)
raisins (optional)
white chocolate chips (optional)
Directions:
1. Mash the bananas in a bowl, mix in applesauce, brown sugar and honey. Mix well.
2. Stir in just till mixed the wheat germ, oats, flour, cinnamon, baking soda and baking powder.
3. Add the optional items at this time too.
4. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
