Banana Oatmeal Cookies

To celebrate National Oatmeal Day, I’ve decided to give oatmeal cookies a subtle update with the use of bananas. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon clove
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 cup (2 sticks) salted sweet cream butter, softened
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 egg
3 medium bananas, mashed
3 cups oats
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a medium bowl combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Set aside.
3. In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugars. Beat in eggs and vanilla. Stir in mashed bananas. Gradually add in flour mixture and mix until just incorporated. Fold in oats.
4. Drop spoonfuls of dough about 2 inches apart on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown.
