Banana Nut Chocolate Chip Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or 1 cup pecans
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk

Directions:

  1. Cream butter and sugar.
  2. Mix in egg and banana.
  3. Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nuts and chocolate chips.
  4. Add this to the creamed mixture alternately with the buttermilk.
  5. Stir until just blended.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees in a greased and floured loaf pan for 60 minutes.
  7. Cool in pan 10 minutes.
