Banana Bread - (Whole Wheat Version)

This is the gold medal flour version with added chocolate chips instead of the nuts (exchanged cup for cup), and whole wheat flour for 1 cup of the all-p flour.
Ingredients:
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 cups mashed bananas (about 3 large)
3/4 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup whole wheat flour
1 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 325 degrees.
2. Grease a loaf pan, either 9x5x2 or 8 1/2x4 1/2x 2 1/2 inches, with shortening, using a pastry brush (or spray).
3. Mix sugar, bananas, oil, and eggs in a large bowl with a wooden spoon. Stir in remaining ingredients . Pour into pan.
4. Bake until wooden pick inserted in center of bread comes out clean, 60 to 70 minutes. Let cool 10 minutes, then loosen slices from loaf pan and remove from pan. Let cool completely before slicing. Makes 1 loaf.
