This delicious and healthy treat has delighted all who've tried it! The unfrozen ripe banana provides a creamy base, negating the need for yogurt or cream. I've found that when I use frozen fruit I have to reduce the amount of ice and increase the amount of chilled water to retain a smooth consistency.
Ingredients:
2 tablespoons flax seeds
1 unfrozen ripe banana
1/2 cup fruit (any combination, such as strawberries, blueberries, pineapple, papaya, mango, mamey, banana, etc)
1/3 cup ice
1/3 cup chilled water
stevia or honey or sugar
Directions:
1. In a food processor, grind flax seed.
2. Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend well. If your the resulting mixture is not fluid slowly add more water until at the desired consistency.
