From the 1961 Lutheran Favorites of St. James Lutheran Church, Howard Lake, Minnesota. Submitted by Mrs. August Weber.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/3 cup very ripe banana
1 unbeaten egg
1 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 teaspoon clove
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
1. Cream together butter and bananas.
2. Blend in unbeaten egg.
3. Beat well.
4. Add flour, sugar, cloves, baking powder, salt, soda, cinnamon, and allspice- alternately with milk.
5. Then add chopped pecans.
6. Spread in well greased and pour pan (13 x 9 x 2).
7. Bake at 350 degres for 22 to 25 minutes.
