Banana Apple Strudel Muffins

Definitely a comfort food! Tastes best warm out of oven with a little vegan margarine. Sort of a cross between apple pie and banana bread - but very subtle flavours. Recipe ends at line with 1 cup of water, the remaining ingredients are for the optional topping.
Ingredients:
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon coriander seed, ground up
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 1/2 cups mashed bananas
2 1/2 cups apples, chopped
3 tablespoons canola oil
1 cup water
1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
1 tablespoon flour
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1 tablespoon vegan margarine
Directions:
1. Preheat oven at 350°F.
2. Mix flour, baking powder and soda, salt and spices.
3. In a separate bowl mix sugar, banana and oil.
4. Add apples to flour mixture and ensure they are well coated.
5. Stir in the sugar mix and then the water, mix well.
6. Spoon into well greased muffin pan.
7. *If adding the topping: mix sugar, flour and spices then cut in the margarine until crumbly – spoon a small amount on top of each muffin.
8. Bake for 25 minutes.
