this incredible recipe mixes the texture of crumbled meringues , bananas, whipping cream and caramel, just a winner.
Ingredients:
1 -1/2 cups crumbled meringues
2 1/2 cups whipping cream
3 large bananas
juice of 1 small lemon
1/4 cup powder sugar
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 tablespoon water
Directions:
1. Crumble meringues
2. In a large bowl, whip cream untill thick and add powder sugar.
3. Slice bananas thinly into a separate bowl and toss in lemon juice.
4. Fold crumbled meringues, and bananas into whipped cream.
5. Spoon mixture into a Trifle dish and chill.
6. In small saucepan combine granulated sugar and water. Cook over low heat until sugar dissolves, do not stir.
7. When sugar has dissolved , increase heat and boil syrup to a rich brown caramel.
8. Immediately pour caramel in a thin stream over banana cream mixture and chill until caramel hardens,.
9. Serve within 1 to 2 hours.
