Ice cream and cookies can be assembled a few hours ahead and placed in the freezer until ready to serve. Ingredients:
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries |
1/4 cup sugar |
4 teaspoons balsamic vinegar |
round shortbread cookies |
vanilla ice cream |
garnishes: chocolate curls, fresh basil |
Directions:
1. Stir together sliced strawberries, sugar, and balsamic vinegar; let stand 1 hour. Top cookies with ice cream; spoon strawberry mixture over ice cream. Garnish, if desired.
