Baked Vidalia Onions

So good with grilled steaks or barbequed chicken!
Ingredients:
1 lb vidalia onion (or other sweet)
1 egg, beaten
1 cup half-and-half
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Slice and separate onions into rings.
3. Cover with water and boil for 1 minute.
4. Drain and put into a 8x8 baking dish.
5. Combine egg, cream, salt and pepper and pour over onions.
6. Top with cheese and sprinkle with paprika.
7. Bake for 25 minutes.
