A delicious and easy recipe made with simple ingredients. Highly satisfying! Serve over rice or with mashed potatoes, yum! Makes a great meal to take to someone who just had a baby or a recent surgery. All they do is pop it in the oven!
Ingredients:
1 top round boneless beef steak (3 lbs and trimmed of all the fat)
1 small green bell pepper, cut into 1/8 inch rings
1 small onion, cut into 1/8 inch rings
1 (14 ounce) can italian stewed tomatoes, drained
1/2 cup ketchup
2 teaspoons oil
salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. In large skillet, brown steak in oil on both sides, cooking about 8 minutes in all.
3. Transfer steak to oven-proof dish or skillet large enough for all ingredients.
4. Season with salt and pepper.
5. Pile bell pepper and onion rings on top of steak.
6. Top with stewed tomatoes.
7. Pour ketchup over all.
8. Bake 60 minutes.
