Ingredients:
2 cups milk
2 eggs, beaten
1/4 cup sugar
pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 slice bread, cubed
1/2 cup raisins
ground cinnamon
ground nutmeg
Directions:
1. Combine milk, eggs, sugar, salt, and vanilla in a medium mixing bowl; beat well with a wire whisk. Stir in bread cubes and raisins.
2. Pour mixture into a lightly greased 1-quart casserole. Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg. Place in an 8-inch square baking pan. Add warm water to pan to a depth of 1 inch.
3. Bake at 350° for 1 hour or until a knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Spoon into individual serving dishes, and serve immediately.
