I Got this recipe from my wife's mother. I had heard how good it was I just needed to try it and it was good it was a little thick like a chowder next time I'm going to thin it down some a little less flour or more milk hope you enjoy! I also used real bacon crumbs out of the package.
Ingredients:
2/3 cup butter
2/3 cup flour
7 cups milk
4 large baked potatoes
4 green onions
1 cup shredded cheese
1 cup sour cream
7 slices bacon
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions:
1. Melt butter stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add the milk stirring constantly till thick.
2. Add the potatoes after they have been peeled and cubed. Chop and add the green onions. Cook about ten minutes, then reduce heat and simmer ten minutes.
3. Add bacon and cheese. Stir until cheese is melted.
4. Add sour cream, salt, and pepper and then serve.
