Baked Potato And Cheese Balls

Cheesey potato balls baked until golden fort food classic.
Ingredients:
6 tablespoons butter, divided
3 cups shredded potatoes or 1 bag shredded hash brown potatoes, thawed
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1/2 cup monterey jack cheese, shredded
1/4 teaspoon italian seasoning
salt and pepper to taste
Directions:
1. In a large skillet, melt 3 tablespoons butter.
2. Add potatoes.
3. Cook until brown.
4. Remove and put into a large bowl.
5. To the same skillet, add remaining butter, onions and garlic.
6. Cook until golden brown, be careful not to burn.
7. Add this mixture to the potato mixture.
8. Add cheeses.
9. Mix well.
10. With an ice cream scooper, pack well and scoop potato mixture onto a greased cookie sheet.
11. Broil until golden brown and hot.
