This is a different peach recipe.
Ingredients:
2 cups sliced fresh peaches, placed in bottom of 8 x 8 x2 inch pan.
pour the following batter over peaches.
batter
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 c. milk
4 tbsps. butter
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 c. flour
combine sugar and butter.
add other dry ingredients, alternately with milk.
spread over fruit.
Directions:
1. TOPPING:
2. Mix 1 cup of sugar with 1 tablespoon cornstarch and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
3. Sift this over batter.
4. Pour 1 cup boiling water over all.
5. Bake at 325 for 50 minutes.
6. Serve warm with cream.
7. Yield-12 serving.
