Baked Gruyere Scallops

A wonderful way to start a meal!
Ingredients:
1lb. fresh bay scallops
1/4c. butter, melted and divided
1 medium onion, finely chopped
1/2lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
6oz. gruyere; shredded
1//2c. mayonnaise
1/4c. dry white wine
Directions:
1. Saute scallops in 2tbs. butter in a large skillet 3 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2. Saute onion, mushrooms in remaining 2tbs. butter until tender; remove from heat.
3. Add scallops, cheese, mayonnaise, and wine; stir well.
4. Spoon mixture into 4 lightly greased inkividual casseroles.
5. Broil 4 inches from heat 4 minutes or until lightly browned.
