Ingredients:

  • 1 (12 oz) bag frozen pearl onions
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 1/2 tbsp flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/8-1/4 tsp cayenne , to taste
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Cook onions according to package and drain well.
  3. In saucepan, melt butter and add flour, cook 3 to 4 minutes Add cream, cheese and seasonings and simmer until thick.
  4. Add mixture to onions, top with breadcrumbs and heat 15 minutes or until bubbly in oven.
