Much lower in sugar than normal beaked beans. I like to use butter beans as well for this too.
Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
1 stalk celery, chopped
400 g haricot beans, rinsed and drained
250 g chopped tomatoes
4 teaspoons soy sauce
50 ml apple juice
Directions:
1. Heat oil and soften onion.
2. Add garlic and celery and cook for another minute.
3. Add tomatoes, beans, soy and juice. Simmer for 10 minutes until thickened.
