Ingredients:
3 large baking apples, peeled and sliced
3/4 cup sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ginger
1/4 cup apple cider
1/2 cup butter or 1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup walnuts or 1/2 cup raisins
Directions:
1. place apples in a greased 1- quart baking dish.
2. combine sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg,.
3. ginger and apple cider.
4. pour over apples.
5. dot with butter or margarine.
6. sprinkle with nuts or raisins.
7. bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 45-60 minutes or until apples are tender.
8. serve warm over ice cream.
