Baked Apple Donuts

Ingredients:
1/2 cup grated raw apple
1 1/2 cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg, beaten
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 cup milk
1/3 cup shortening
1 3/4 teaspoons baking powder
cinnamon-sugar mixture
melted butter
Directions:
1. Mix dry ingredients together.
2. Cut in shortening until mixture is fine.
3. Mix together egg, milk, and apple and add all at once to dry ingredients. Mix quickly.
4. Fill greased muffin tins 2/3 full.
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
6. Remove from pan and roll in melted butter and then in cinnamon and sugar mixture. Delicious!
