Bacon Wrapped Water Chestnuts

I had found this recipe many years ago, but recently found an updated version of it. I liked the fact that the prep work and partial cooking time can be done ahead of time....freeing up that last minute rush!! I am not a huge fan of ketchup, so I added the horseradish to cut the taste. It can be made ahead of time and gently reheated
Ingredients:
2 (6 ounce) cans water chestnuts
1 lb bacon
2/3 cup ketchup
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon horseradish (heaping or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
1/4 teaspoon pepper (or to taste)
Directions:
1. Cut the bacon in half. Wrap water chestnuts in bacon and secure with toothpicks. Bake 30 minutes at 325. Drain off any grease and blot on paper towel.
2. Combine ketchup, brown sugar, horseradish, salt and pepper. Pour over water chestnuts and let sit for a couple of hours or overnight.
3. Bake at 300 for 30 minutes or until bacon is cooked.
