One of the favorite dips for Football Fun Days....SuperBowl or not! Not heart friendly, but a little goes a long way.
Ingredients:
1 two lb. loaf of round bread (preferred pumpernickle or rye)
cut off lid and hollow out inside.
1 lb. of bacon (fried and crumbled)
1 cup of grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup of monterey jack shredded-sometimes sub jack with jalapeno
1 cup of parmesan
1 small grated onion
1 large glove of garlic minced
1 cup of mayonnaise
Directions:
1. Combine bacon, cheese, onion, garlic and mayonnaise.
2. Mix well. (Can add a dash of hot sauce, if desired.)
3. Spoon into hollowed out bread.
4. Top with reserved lid.
5. Double wrap in foil.
6. Bake one hour with lid at 350 degrees.
7. Serve with breadsticks, bread cubes and sturdy chips for dipping.
