Bacon and Cheese Bread

From Southern Living 1983 Annual Recipes cookbook.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
3/4 cup quick-cooking oats
6 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup vegetable oil
Directions:
1. Combine first 8 ingredients in a large bowl; set aside.
2. In another bowl, combine eggs, milk and oil; add to oat mixture, stirring just enough to moisten dry ingredients.
3. Spoon batter into a greased and floured 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in pan 10 minutes.
