This recipe (not mine, unfortunately) won 2nd place in a Texas chili cook off!
Ingredients:
1 lb very coarsely ground venison or 1 lb ground beef
1 small onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic
salt and pepper
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
4 tablespoons chili powder
32 ounces water
Directions:
1. Brown the first 4 ingredients in heavy cooking pot.
2. Add the last three ingredients and then heat to a hard fast boil.
3. Turn down and simmer for 45 minutes.
