A dip easy enough for game day, but special enough for a starter for a dinner party. You can use shrimp or crab in this dip, though I don't recommend canned. Serve with wheat, rye or sesame crackers or toasted bread rounds. Read more . Also, it can be served warmed in a small slow cooker or cold.
Ingredients:
2 avocados, just ripe, peeled and cubed
juice from 1 lime or 1/2 lemon
8oz cream cheese, softened
2 green onions, sliced
1tsp old bay seasoning
dash each of worcestershire sauce and hot sauce
6-8oz cooked tiny shrimp or crab meat(frozen is okay, if thawed)
Directions:
1. Place avocado in bowl and toss with lemon juice. Set aside.
2. In another bowl, combine cream cheese and remaining ingredients except seafood and avocados. Stir well until creamy and combined. Add a dash more citrus juice, if needed, to help with consistency.
3. Carefully fold in seafood and avocados.
4. Sprinkle with Old Bay and chives or green onion finely chopped prior to serving, if desired.
