Aunt Vera's Crumb Cake

This recipe is actually more crumb than cake; very buttery and yummy. Makes two large trays. Wrap well, after cooling and freeze one for later use.
Ingredients:
4 ounces butter, room temp
1 cup sugar
2 eggs, room temp
2 cups flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 cups flour
8 ounces butter, room temp
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 375°.
2. Cream butter and sugar until light yellow and well blended.
3. Add eggs, one at a time.
4. Sift flour and baking powder together and add alternately with milk, beginning and ending with 1/2 cup of flour.
5. Add vanilla.
6. Spray two cookie sheets with cooking spray and fit with parchment paper. Spray again.
7. Divide batter between two trays.
8. Mix all crumb ingredients together with a fork, and form into two balls.
9. Crumble each ball over each tray.
10. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes.
11. When cool, sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
