Aunt Susies Pistachio Ambrosia

My Aunt Susie makes this and it is perfect for those hot summer days when the last thing you wanna do is turn the oven on. The first time I tasted it I was hooked! It's cool, fruity and creamy.
Ingredients:
1 20 oz can pineapple tidbits and all juice (light syrup)
1 15 oz can fruit cocktail and all juice (light syrup)
1 11 oz can mandrin oranges drained
2 small boxes of pistachio pudding
1 cup of sour cream
8 oz of cool whip (thawed)
** if doubling recipe double everything except 12 oz cool whip
** handfull fine chopped pecans for garnish if desired
Directions:
1. Drain fruit and reserve 1 1/2 cups of juice
2. place unprepared pudding mix in large bowl and add the 1 1/2 cups of reserved juice and mix well
3. add sour cream and cool whip, mix well
4. Fold in fruit and let chill
5. Add pecans for garnish if desired
