Asparagus Vinaigrette

Originally a WW recipe. Have not tried this cold but looks like it could be an interesting picnic dish that way.
Ingredients:
12 asparagus spears, trimmed
1 1/2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon red onion, minced
1/2 teaspoon canola oil
1/4 teaspoon garlic, minced (jar)
1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
Directions:
1. Steam asparagus until tender.
2. In small bowl combine vinegar, onion, oil, garlic and pepper.
3. Transfer asparagus to platter; top with vinegar mixture.
