Asparagus And Basil Whole Wheat Spaghettini

This dish is just so fresh tasting and simple. It goes well with any meat dish or on it's own ENJOY!. For a main course this recipe would serve 2.
Ingredients:
13 (my lucky #) asparagus spears, chopped
1/2 of a 375g package of whole wheat speghettini
1 tsp minced garlic
8 fresh basil leaves, sliced thin
1 tsp. dry chili flakes (it doesn't make it hot it just adds a tingle to your mouth)
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese, divided
3 tbsp olive oil
pinch each of salt and pepper
Directions:
1. Boil the water for the spaghettini
2. Add the spaghettini , the asparagus and the garlic to the water, cook for 8-10 min. (depending on if you like el dante or not)
3. strain and put back into pot
4. add olive oil, chili's, 1/2 parmesan cheese, basil
5. serve in bowl's with the rest of the cheese sprinkled on top of each serving.
