For beef, pork, or chicken. Marinate at least 6 hours, up to 72. Enough for 1 to 1 1/2 lbs of meat. Ponzu is a soy sauce flavored with a Japanese citrus juice called yuzu; you can substitute plain soy sauce. Mirin is a sweetened Japanese rice wine; you can substitute sake or dry sherry.
Ingredients:
1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
1/4 cup ponzu sauce
1/4 cup toasted sesame oil
1/4 cup mirin
1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
2 teaspoons grated gingerroot
2 garlic cloves, minced, pressed or grated
Directions:
1. Combine all ingredients with your chosen protein. Marinate in the refrigerator 2-72 hours. Remove protein from marinade and grill or broil until done. Discard marinade.
