darlene made this for card party at fern bergs jan 12 1999 , it doesnt seem like an applesauce cake it seems like a jewish honey cake without the honey its an old recipe though the porportions are right on this one i need to correct Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup oil or 1/2 cup butter |
2 eggs |
1/2 cup coffee, cold |
1/4 cup walnuts |
2 cups flour |
1/2 cup raisins |
1 apple, chopped |
1/2 teaspoon clove |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
Directions:
1. cream butter and sugar.
2. add eggs.
3. add coffee.
4. sift dry ingredients 3 times
5. stir into coffee mixture add raisins, nutmeats and cored ,cubed apple
6. mix well
7. pour into greased pan
8. bake in moderate oven 350 for 45 minutes in bundt pan.
