Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour |
1 teaspoon baking powder |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/3 cup unsalted butter, softened |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 egg, beaten |
2 lbs baking apples, peeled, cored and sliced |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tablespoon cornstarch |
2 tablespoons lemon juice |
2 tablespoons butter |
1/2 cup whipping cream |
1 tablespoon cinnamon |
2 tablespoons sugar |
2 tablespoons flour |
Directions:
1. preheat oven to 350. 2. grease a 9 round springform pan. 3. cream together butter,sugar and egg until fluffy. add in flour,baking powder,salt,cinnamon,nutmeg. 4. press 3/4 of the mixture into the bottom of the pan,it will be thin. 5. toss apples with sugar,cornstarch lemon juice,butter,cream and cinnamon. 6. Layer over dough. 7. for the topping add 2 tablespoons flour and 2 tablespoons sugar to the remaining dough to make it crumbly. sprinkle on top of appples. bake for 1 hour or until topping in a pale golden color. |
