2 cups flour |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
1 dash salt |
1/4 cup butter |
7/8 cup milk |
1/2 cup soft butter |
1 cup brown sugar |
2 teaspoons cinnamon |
4 -6 apples (peeled and sliced) |
2 cups boiling water |
Directions:
1. DougH:. 2. Mix dry ingredients. 3. Cut in butter and work until mixture is like cornmeal. 4. Add milk. 5. Knead well. 6. Roll into a long oblong. 7. Spread butter onto dough and cover with brown sugar and 1 tsp cinnamon. 8. Place apples over dough. 9. Roll up like a jelly roll. 10. Slice into 1 inch slices. 11. Place in grased 9 x 12 pan. 12. Sprinkle tops with a small amound of sugar and cinnamon. 13. Pour boiling water gently over. 14. Bake 350 30 minutes. |
