This rice dish is almost a dessert. Goes well with spicy or strong flavored dishes to add a contrast. I fixed it for my aunt, mother in law and esposa recently and they dug it.
Ingredients:
1 cup of rice
2 applecranberry tea bags
1 cup of raisins
1 green apple cut in sticks
1 cup of baby carrots cut in sticks
cinnamon sugar
Directions:
1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil, add tea bags and steep for 2 mins.
2. Add rice, bring to a boil, cover and simmer on low heat for 20 mins.
3. Let rice cool then add cinnamon sugar to taste.
4. Add remaining ingredients and garnish with cinnamon
