This recipe can be made three ways first way is a crock pot if you want the full apple flavor and the meat to melt in your mouth. The other two ways I'm going to post also the oven apple pork and last smoked apple pork. My pick 3 year old loves these meals along with the rest of my kids. Now you can use store bought apple sauce or homemade with this recipe. Ingredients:
1 lb pork, any part will do i like mine wih little fat
1 (25 ounce) jar applesauce, add more if you like my kids eat all of it
1 cup buttermilk, per pound meat
Directions:
1. Take pork and add to a ziplock bag pour in what ever amount of buttermilk you need in the ziplock bag. If you don't have buttermilk just do what I do 1-cup milk and one TBL of vinegar.
2. Let this sit in the refrigerator for the night it will make the meat more tender the longer it sits.
3. Take meat out of bag wash it under some water. Take meat add to crock pot then add the applesauce.
4. Cook for about 8 hours or until its done the way you like.
5. If you want add apple wedges to the crock pot about 4 hours in to the pork being cooked you will then have a very soft apple wedge to add to your plate.
