This is a great recipe, although I have always used it right away I have never sealed it. So if anyone does, let me know how it is. The tapioca is a great thickener for this. Ingredients:
4 lbs apples |
2 cups sugar |
4 tablespoons tapioca |
Directions:
1. Put prepared apples in saucepan with 3/4 of sugar. 2. Combine well. 3. Place over high heat and boil one minute. 4. Add rest of sugar and taioca, return to full boil for one minute, stirring constantly. 5. Put into jars and seal or cool, put between pie shells and bake at 350 degrees until crust is golden brown. |
