Ingredients:
4 cups peeled, sliced granny smith apple
1/2 teaspoon grated orange rind
1/3 cup fresh orange juice
1/3 cup regular oats, uncooked
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/8 teaspoon salt
3 tablespoons reduced-calorie margarine
1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons frozen lite whipped topping, thawed
Directions:
1. Spoon apple slices into an 8-inch square pan; sprinkle with orange rind and juice.
2. Combine oats and next 5 ingredients in a medium bowl; stir well. Cut in margarine with a pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal. Sprinkle mixture over apple. Bake at 375° for 40 to 45 minutes or until apple is tender and topping is lightly browned. Spoon into individual dessert bowls; top each serving with 1 tablespoon whipped topping.
