Ingredients:
3 medium apples
3 cups flour
1/2 cup oil
1 cup chopped pecans
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter melted
1 tsp baking soda
1 medium lemon
1 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
glaze
1 cup powder sugar
2 tbs butter softened
1 tsp grated lemon zest
1 tbs honey
3 tbs lemon juice
Directions:
1. Peel, core and chop apples, grate lemon zest set aside but squeeze juice on apples, set aside.
2. Pour butter into mixing bowl and beat in eggs.
3. Beat in sugar and 3 tsp of lemon zest.
4. Sift dry ingerdients and mix into batter.
5. Fold in apples and nuts.
6. Pour into a greased and floured tube pan.
7. Bake in a 350F oven for 1 hour and 20 minutes or tested and done.
8. Cool in pan 10 minutes.
9. Turn onto wire rack.
10. Prick holes in the top of the cake.
11. Mix glaze ingredients and spread over wam cake
