1. Bring 1 1/2cups sugar 2 cups water 1/4 tsp. cinnamon divided 1/4 tsp. nutmeg to a boil in saucepan over medium heat stirring constantly reduce heat to low and simmer stirring ocassionally 10 minutes 2. Remove pan from heat stir in 1/4 cup butter set aside 3. Combined 2/3 cup sugar 1/4 tsp. cinnmon and remaining 1/4 tsp. nutmeg 4. Cut pie crusts in half roll into eight -8inch circles Place one apple in each center of each circle sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar mixture dot evenly with 3 Tablespoons butter 5. Fold dough over apples pinching together to seal 6. place in lightly greased 13x9 inch pan drizzle with syrup 7. Bake Dumplings 375 for 40-45 minutes
